More Later
Like a dance partner that has allowed me to stand on His feet, God has taught me how to dance upon rhythm on time. With Him, it’s a song from everlasting to everlasting. I’ve learned to follow His lead (with confidence) when the crescendos of life build with an intensity that has the potential to brood over my anticipation with fear.
From January to June I, with eager optimism, tried to run with haste to fulfill plans that I thought would open lucrative bounty. What I found instead, was an opportunity to learn how to depend on Ebenezer (the God who helps). Profitable speed is generated in the realm of the spirit with the permission of the Father. It is by way of the Holy Spirit that realms of acceleration become accessible. Profitable speed. It’s one thing to go far fast, but it’s a different experience to go far while blazing a trail and harvesting wisdom along the way only to look back and realize what took others five years unfolded for you in five months. Profitable speed.
It is only by God’s grace that one can set up residence in the valley (a low place) despondent and unexposed then be mounted upon the summit of success (uncommon peace, uncommon provision) with ease of transition. At the appointed time of elevation, every measure of opposition must bow and pathways open.
The appointed time. Ecclesiastes 3:1 pronounces the banner that waves over our reality, “There is a season (a time appointed) for everything and a time for every delight and event or purpose under heaven…”
The Sons of Issachar knew how to discern the times and seasons. With such wisdom, the fear of missing a moment becomes nullified. This is the lesson that I’ve extracted from the first half of this year: I am not limited by time but positioned by it. Every step I take is ordered and there’s grace that encapsulates my seeming mistakes.
Pain is not the enemy, rather an indicator of the times of birthing. In due time, pain produces perseverance, strength, and wisdom. When waiting, remember… there is always more, later. More grace, more joy, more laughs, more peace… later.
