Grieving Yesterday’s You
Many-a-celebration for leveling up… becoming greater and grander, but we’re often quiet about the layers of old that we have to shed as we ascend the heights of personal success (you get to define what success means to you). Relational strategies, professional tactics, constructing boundaries… these things evolve as we do.
This silent shedding can sometimes come as a surprise—during seasons of winning, you’re met with a heaviness whose origin you feel like you cannot locate. It’s the grieving of who you used to be.
It’s okay to let go. Separation isn’t always a result of negativity. Thank the old versions of yourself for getting you this far and invite the full expression of your present self to simply… be.
